Life at Golden Forge
Physical challenge. Work that matters. Shared meals. Room to think.
Golden Forge is a working mountain ranch in the Colorado Rockies. Time here brings meaningful challenge, contribution, and connection into everyday life.
You take part in ranch life—caring for the land, learning practical skills, and working alongside others.
A Rhythm With Purpose
Every visit is different. The season, the people, and the experience we agree on together shape the days.
Shared Meals
Help grow, harvest, and prepare simple, nourishing food—from seasonal greenhouse produce to responsibly harvested meat from the ranch, when available. Share the work of putting a meal on the table, then sit down together.
Work That Matters
Help build the ranch, grow food, and care for the land. Work alongside others, learn practical skills, and leave something better than you found it.
Movement & Challenge
Train outdoors, hike, ride, or take on physical work. Build strength, endurance, and confidence through effort suited to your starting point.
Room for Quiet
Make space to rest, reflect, or have a thoughtful conversation. Sharing a personal story is always a choice.
Skills With Purpose
Learning here is hands-on: working with wood, metal, and leather; growing and gathering food; responsibly harvesting and preparing meat; and building horsemanship and wilderness skills. These are practical skills for greater self-reliance and a closer connection to the land.
Classes, guided outings, and focused weekends reflect the season, the expertise available, and what you want to learn.
Who Comes Here
Golden Forge welcomes veterans, currently serving military, frontline professionals, and the people alongside them who want to strengthen their capacity and keep contributing.
Whether you’re exploring a stay, a future program, or coming with family or a group, we begin with a personal conversation about fit and availability.
What matters is what you carry home: greater capacity, renewed purpose, and a deeper connection to others.
Individual Paths to Healing
Golden Forge offers a private ranch setting and connections to licensed providers for people exploring additional paths to healing. Our aim is to reduce barriers to care while respecting privacy, dignity, and informed choice.
Where legally permitted and individually appropriate, options may include psychedelic-assisted care. Any such care depends on assessment by the provider and the requirements for the service and setting. Participation is optional and discussed separately from a ranch stay.
An application opens a conversation. Together, we explore whether Golden Forge is a good fit and what time here could look like.
